Three Paths,
One Practice
Suvarna Counsel offers three structured advisory services — each designed for a distinct situation and scope. Whether you are planning a move, navigating a household application, or simply reviewing where you stand, there is an engagement suited to your circumstances.
← Back to HomeHow We Approach Every Engagement
Every engagement begins with a thorough reading of your current situation — what visa you hold, when it expires, what your plans are, and what documentation you already have available. We do not move to recommendations before we understand the starting point.
From there, we map the options that are actually available to you, note the realistic requirements for each, and give our assessment of which path is most suited to your circumstances. If your situation falls outside what we can properly advise on, we will say so and refer you elsewhere where appropriate.
Throughout the process, we communicate clearly, provide written summaries of all advice given, and remain available for questions within the agreed engagement period.
Long-Term Resident & Retirement Visa Advisory
For individuals considering Thailand as a long-term home, we discuss the routes most likely to fit your circumstances — Long-Term Resident visa, Non-Immigrant O-A retirement visa, Elite visa, or others as appropriate. We review eligibility, required financial evidence, medical insurance considerations, and the practical realities of annual reporting. Our role is to lay out the options clearly so you can choose the path that suits your life, rather than recommend a single product.
- Comparison of LTR, O-A, Elite and other relevant categories
- Detailed review of financial evidence and insurance requirements
- Document checklist tailored to your chosen route
- Annual reporting obligations and practical compliance guidance
- Application preparation and immigration office accompaniment
Family & Spouse Visa Application Support
We support spouses, dependent children, and parents through Non-Immigrant O visa applications, marriage registration where needed, and the supporting documentation that accompanies each. We prepare a checklist tailored to your household, review evidence of relationship and finances, and accompany you to immigration appointments when our presence is helpful. Suitable for couples relocating together and for foreign spouses already living in Thailand who wish to formalise their status.
- Non-Immigrant O applications for spouse, children, and parents
- Marriage registration assistance and documentation review
- Per-person document checklists for each household member
- Financial evidence review and relationship documentation
- Immigration appointment accompaniment available
Visa Status Review & Quiet Consultation
A short, written review of your current visa status, upcoming reporting dates, and any administrative steps that may benefit from attention before they become urgent. We answer questions about 90-day reporting, re-entry permits, and the differences between visa categories. Suitable for visitors who simply wish to confirm they are on stable footing, without committing to a larger engagement.
- Written summary of current visa status and expiry
- Upcoming 90-day reporting and re-entry permit dates
- Clear explanation of your visa category conditions
- Identification of any administrative steps requiring attention
- Delivered within 3–5 business days of receiving your documents
